Conning Tower

Noah takes a moment to enjoy the view of the HMAS Adelaide's foredeck from the shark-cage of the conning tower.
In 2023 Noah and I camped in Terrigal for an early dive at the HMAS Adelaide wreck, sunk off the NSW coast as an artificial reef in 2011. The vis was poor; 3-5 metres if we were lucky, which in parts made it more fun and spooky as we explored the wreck from tip to tail by ourselves. Good mix of sealife, corals, and swimthroughs. A debate conveyed by hand signals at one point whether the stern was in fact the stern, and whether we were about to swim off into the abyss. Thankfully we turned around!
